The Northwest School of Animal Massage (NWSAM) offers professional-level massage pet training for students interested in working with either small or large animals. Small pets include dogs, cats and companion animals; large animals include horses and livestock.

With campuses in Oregon, Washington, Arizona and California, NWSAM offers both on-site and distance learning courses. Its programs include three levels of pet massage certification and continuing education for pet massage therapists looking to build on their current skills.

The International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB), dedicated to creating a national scope of practice and competency standards for pet massage therapists, provides a list of member schools where professionals can receive training in pet massage therapy.
