Welcome to the Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks, located in Pottstown, PA. We understand how difficult and overwhelming a decision it can be when choosing a new career. We welcome the opportunity to help you make this very important decision.

Massage therapy is rapidly growing and becoming widely accepted in the medical community. Our graduates work in chiropractic offices, fitness facilities, salons and spas, resorts and assisted living centers. We invite you to talk with some of our former students who have successfully completed our massage therapy program. Also, we make it the rule, not the exception, to hire experienced instructors who successfully operate their own practices. They have taught hundreds of students and bring real life experiences to their instructional venue.

We are proud to be a PA State approved privately licensed school. Since the school is independently owned, we are able to offer you a quality education for a reasonable tuition. In addition, we provide several funding options. We pride ourselves in working with prospective students to attain a schedule of courses that fit into a busy lifestyle.

Massage Therapy Program and Timeframe

This program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to become a professional massage therapist. Students will be educated in the studies of anatomy, physiology, massage theory and history, and hands-on practice in Swedish and therapeutic massage. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to apply these skills in a clinical setting. Students will also become certified in First Aid and CPR.

Upon completion of the 600 hour course, graduates will be certified in deep tissue, therapeutic and Swedish massage. They will have sufficient knowledge and skills to be able to take the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworks.

The program can be completed on either a full-time or part-time basis and day and evening classes are available. The full-time program takes six months and two weekends to complete, Monday through Thursday. The part-time program takes one year and two weekends to complete, two days or two evenings a week.
