Since 1989, Bauman College: Holistic Nutrition & Culinary Arts has been the leader in the field of holistic nutrition and natural culinary arts, setting the standard for nutritional excellence and professional practice. We offer professional training which leads to certification as a nutrition consultant or natural chef.
The Bauman College approach--Eating for Health™--is designed to synthesize validated research in biochemical nutrition with whole food culinary artistry. We emphasize the use of whole, organic foods, herbs and appropriate supplements to restore metabolic balance. Our philosophy of holistic nutrition and health education is non-dogmatic, seeking to find the ideal diet and lifestyle suited to each individual.

Learn up-to-date nutritional protocols to help your clients minimize medication, control pain, address chronic conditions and acquire healthy habits.
Nutrition Consultant - 700 hours

The Nutrition Consultant Training program provides students with a grounded approach to working with primary care providers, designing diet and nutritional programs for people with previously diagnosed injury or illness. Students learn how nutrition influences the intricate feedback between organs, glands, cells and gene expression. Learning up-to-date nutritional protocols will help your clients minimize medication, control pain, address chronic conditions and acquire healthy habits. A supervised internship is included.
Each topic in the program introduces compelling research and provides metabolic assessment tools that enable students to confidently and precisely guide clients in the use of therapeutic foods, herbs and nutrient support. Written work for each topic and the final presentation are comprised of client interviews, research reports and case studies.
Careers as a Nutrition Consultant
Graduates of the Nutrition Consultant program are trained in the realm of "clinical nutrition." And the program includes a supervised internship. They are qualified to work in conjunction with other health care professionals, such as doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists and counselors. Many graduates establish their own private practices, teach courses, lecture on nutrition topics and/or write articles for publication. Other opportunities include working in clinics, private schools, spas, health food stores, health chlubs corporate fitness programs, and supplement companies.
This program is a great choice for individuals seeking a sensible, well-balanced approach to nutrition and health education that can enhance their professional skills and stature. Bauman College graduates are fully trained and certified to work in salaried positions in the preventative health care field, whether funded by government, insurance carriers or private business.
Program Details
Spring and Fall classes meet on mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends. Classes are 3.5 hours in length and meet an average of six times per month.
