Since 1989, Bauman College has been a leader in the field of holistic nutrition and culinary arts. We offer two certificate programs, Natural Chef and Nutrition Consultant, as well as an 8-week personal growth course, Nutrition Essentials for Everyone^TM. Our programs provide a comprehensive education that integrates conventional practices and holistic wisdom for the promotion of optimal health.

Bauman College is founded on the principles of Eating For Health^TM. The model emphasizes the use of whole, nutrient-dense foods for the prevention of disease and recovery from illness. The system has a non-dogmatic approach that recognizes the bioindividuality in all of us and acknowledges that one size does not fit all; our nutritive needs are all different and can even change during our lives.

Nutrition Consultant

The Nutrition Consultant Training Program is a scientifically-based nutrition education program with a holistic approach to healing and wellness. The program offers a competitive education with a dynamic curriculum that's rooted in the latest research and development in the field.

The program provides an in-depth study of anatomy and physiology, micro and macro nutrients, biochemistry, the digestive and endocrine systems, detoxification, gastrointestinal health, weight management, and more. Course work reveals the intricate relationships between the foods we eat and the resulting biochemical expression in the body.

Students are prepared with nutritional analysis and clinical assessment skills and certify with the ability to confidently and precisely guide clients to make lasting changes to health and longevity through daily diet and lifestyle decisions.

An extensive look at business development, financial planning, client development, and an internship will help prepare students for work in private practice, with primary care or holistic health care providers, in research and menu development, as educators, in product development, and more.

In addition to our four on-site locations, this program is also offered as a more flexible, self-paced faculty-mentored Nutrition Consultant Distance Learning Program which allows students up to 27 months to complete.
