The field of massage therapy is one of the fastest growing in the country and the Baltimore School of Massage can thoroughly prepare you for this exciting and rewarding career. All Steiner Education Group campuses employ Career Services Coordinators that are available to assist you in achieving your goals. Whether you are interested in seeing the world by working aboard a cruise ship or if you would prefer a land based position, the Career Services Department at BSM has built a relationship with some of the most successful employers in the industry.

Baltimore School of Massage has two locations, one in Baltimore, MD and a branch campus in York, PA. All locations have full-time as well as part-time schedules with day and evening classes to make it easy for you to fulfill your dream of becoming a massage therapist!

The Massage Therapy Program

The massage therapy programs are designed to give a thorough and comprehensive education in massage therapy in a positive learning environment.

BSM is proud to offer 637 hours of education in therapeutic massage and related subjects. The 637-hour Professional Program in Comprehensive Massage Therapy includes extensive lecture and hands-on training and will prepare you for a variety of settings. This program includes three major systems of bodywork: Swedish, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release. Human Anatomy and Physiology as well as additional modalities complete the curriculum.

BSM also offers The 620 Hour Professional Program in Shiatsu and Asian Bodywork. This comprehensive program is designed to teach students the techniques of traditional Asian bodywork and how to apply those techniques as a Shiatsu Practitioner. Whether you are already a therapist or have no experience with Eastern or Western massage you will be able to graduate with an education in the art of Shiatsu, as well as, a working understanding of its practical application.

All campuses also have a Student Clinic where you will have the opportunity to work with the public while you attend school. BSM is proud to offer an extensive Continuing Education Program, which enables you to enhance your skills and learn new modalities after graduation.

BSM also has a fully stocked Natural Health Shoppe on campus that carries everything from massage creams and oils to music and school uniforms. Anything you may need to enhance your practice!

Financial Aid

BSM will do everything it can to help make this dream come true for you. We are approved by the Department of Education for Title IV Funds, and to that end we offer Federal Financial Aid to those who qualify. This may be in the form of Pell Grants and Stafford Loans. The financial Aid Office will help guide you through this process.
