In the professional Massage Therapy program at Carrington College, students learn light energy work as well as deep-tissue modalities, Spa Therapies, Infant massage, Shiatsu, and how to treat specific pain and dysfunction, as well as a holistic approach to health and healing.

As a graduate of the professional Massage Therapy program's didactic and laboratory therapy instruction, the graduate would qualify to sit for the National Certification Exam administered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

  1. To prepare students to enter the work force as entry-level massage therapists.
  2. To prepare students to use the principles and techniques of massage to assess and appropriately treat disorders of the human body which may benefit from massage.

  • Prepare to take the PTA licensure exam, the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)

In the process of pursuing your Associate degree, you can gain the skills necessary to provide a range of physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

The basic areas of study in this program include anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, human movement, and movement disorders.
