Specially designed degree and diploma programs are based on class sizes for 15 to 24 students. Massage Therapy - Certificate

Massage Therapy career opportunities are on the rise for the licensed massage therapist including private health clubs, day spas and resorts, beauty salons, corporations, stress reduction/relaxation centers. Opportunities lie in health care working in association with other health practitioners such as chiropractors, medical doctors, dentists, physical therapists, and psychologists.

The professional Massage Therapy Certificate program teaches the art and science of massage therapy, while also teaching sound business practices, which prepare students for success in the marketplace. In the professional Massage Therapy Program at Carrington College, students learn light energy work as well as deep-tissue modalities, Spa Therapies, Infant massage, Shiatsu, and how to treat specific pain and dysfunction, as well as a holistic approach to health and healing.

As a graduate of the professional Massage Therapy program's didactic and laboratory therapy instruction, the graduate would qualify to sit for the National Certification Exam administered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
