Steeped in history, yet meeting the challenges of contemporary health care education, the multi-campus Cleveland Chiropractic College system, with campuses in beautiful Kansas City and in the international mecca of Los Angeles, has been a leader in providing health care education for more than 85 years.

The college currently awards three degrees: Doctor of Chiropractic, Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and an Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences. Students pursuing these degrees, as well as students pursuing degrees in other health care professions, can take their prerequisite physical and life sciences courses in accelerated, 8-week intervals at the college.

The Cleveland Chiropractic College multi-campus system is accredited by:

  • the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The Doctor of Chiropractic degree program of Cleveland Chiropractic College is accredited by:

  • the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education.

The Multi-campus System

  • Employs highly qualified faculty with broad experience and credentials
  • Has a low student/faculty ratio that encourages personalized individual attention
  • Offers students the flexibility to choose between a 10-trimester or a 12-trimester curriculum
  • Operates on a trimester system with new classes starting three times a year
  • Offers the same curriculum on two separate campuses:
    • The Kansas City campus, in the heart of the Midwest, is known for its reasonable standard of living and beautiful setting.
    • The Los Angeles campus, strategically located in the Hollywood area, offers easy access from a multitude of transportation possibilities and the convenience provided by the proximity to a major international hub.

Doctor of Chiropractic Program

  • Develops traditional clinical competencies through early hands-on introduction to multiple spinal adjusting techniques.
  • Provides a balanced approach to the philosophy, science and art of chiropractic.
  • Positions qualified graduates and senior interns in nationwide preceptor, postceptor and extended preceptor programs, expanding the clinical educational experience to the private practice setting.
  • Offers postgraduate education programs that attract internationally known speakers and doctor participants from across the country.

Bachelor of Science in Human Biology Program

The Bachelor of Science in Human Biology program includes courses in mathematics, general and organic chemistry, physics, biology, anatomy and physiology. At the upper division level, the degree emphasizes human biology related areas, such as embryology, cell physiology, human anatomy and physiology (all organs), genetics, and research related to human biology.

Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences Program

Cleveland Chiropractic College offers an Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences. The general objective of the undergraduate division is to provide the student with a strong undergraduate education that stresses the structure and function of the human body while providing for the general education requirements of the degree.

Professional Health Science Courses

To help students get a jump-start on a career in health care--chiropractic, dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, etc.--the College's Pre-professional Health Science Program offers prerequisite physical and life sciences courses in accelerated, 8-week modules. Science courses include 3 hours of lecture and 1 hour of lab for 4 semester hours. Courses in the program begin 6 times a year.

Campus & Facilities

  • The College recently relocated to 34 acres of land in the Overland Park, KS suburb of Kansas City, adjacent to the intersection of Antioch and Interstate 435.
  • The College's two primary buildings provide 177,000 square feet of space.
  • In addition, this building houses the 13,640 square foot public patient Health Center, the 4,650 square foot Student Clinic, a cafeteria, the Cleveland College YMCA Express fitness center and the Special Beginnings day-care center.
