Canada's Premier College for Massage Therapy - "The one that
started it all!"
~ NOW OFFERING ONLINE COURSES ~
- The Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy was
founded in 1946 when government agencies wanted to create an
opportunity for veterans; training them to become massage
therapists in order to assist in the rehabilitation of other war
veterans.
- The first College to offer Hospital Outreach Programs and
diverse clinical experiences, allowing students to become
familiar with massage therapy for Sports, Pregnancy, Chronic
Pain, Neurological Conditions, and more.
- The first massage therapy school in Atlantic Canada to allow
students to earn transfer credits toward a university degree,
receiving two years' credit toward the University of New
Brunswick's BSc in Kinesiology. Credits can also be transferred
to Athabasca University's BSc in Human Science.
- Pioneers in new massage therapy science and research, CCMH is
in ongoing collaboration on studies regarding the benefits of
therapeutic massage, partnering, for example, with Dalhousie
University and the Nova Scotia Hospital to study the effects of
massage on addictions and withdrawal management.
- With Atlantic Canada's first ON-LINE delivery of Massage
Therapy courses, CCMH continues to be an innovator in the field
of massage therapy education.
The CCMH Advantage
-
A national footprint: With transferable courses and six
campuses across the country, we are Canada's largest massage
therapy college. In addition to our Halifax campus, CCMH and
its sister college WCCMT have locations in Victoria, New
Westminster, Calgary, Kitchener, and Toronto.
-
A quality education: Our graduates have consistently
ranked among the highest at the College of Massage Therapists
of Ontario (CMTO) board exams.
-
Economic security: Our default rate for student loans is
among the lowest, and our graduates enjoy high employment
rates. We have the largest alumni base, which creates a large
support network, assisting graduates in obtaining employment.
-
Flexibility: CCMH provides students with three different
start dates each year enabling them to commence their new
career at a time convenient for them, and different options for
program delivery (regular full-time, intensive "fast track,"
and a longer program combining online and on-site study).
-
Premiere Partnership Program: CCMH students have the
opportunity to work internationally with one of our spa
partners upon graduating. Four Seasons, Accor Thalassa, and
Hyatt Hotels International are among the employers in our
Premiere Partnership network.
The CCMH Campus
Located in the Province of Nova Scotia, the College is situated
in the suburb of Bedford, overlooking Halifax Harbour/Bedford
Basin, with ample opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and the
scenic outdoors. The campus is only a short drive or bus ride

professional sports teams, as well as musical and cultural
activities. The College is situated in an
architecturally-designed and purpose-build facility emphasizing
the salt water view from our windows.
