American Medical College of Homeopathy

Introduction

Become a Doctor of Homeopathy at the only full-time four year homeopathic medical school in the USA. The American Medical College of Homeopathy (AMCH) is a non-profit study and training center located in Phoenix, Arizona. The Doctor of Homeopathy and Certified Practitioner programs are state licensed and accredited through the Accreditation Commission on Homeopathic Education in North America. Students holding Bachelor Degrees may apply now for admission to doctoral classes beginning in February. (MCAT not required.) Class size is limited. New students may also apply for the Practitioner Certification Program and transfer into the doctoral program later.

About Our Programs of Study

We offer two programs to prepare individual students for professional homeopathic practice. These programs are:

• Doctor of Homeopathy Program - campus and Live Classroom by Internet (4280 hours; 4 years Full-Time)
• Homeopathic Practitioner Certificate Program-campus and Live Classroom by Internet (1104 hours; 3 years Part-Time)

About Our Faculty

AMCH faculty is composed of exceptional and dedicated healers that are student-oriented teachers striving to create an intellectually stimulating and emotionally satisfying environment of inquiry. We have the largest and most diverse faculty of any Homeopathic training program in the country. Most have earned doctorates in a wide range of medical disciplines (MD, DO, ND, DC, PhD, DHMS). All instructors are certified classical homeopaths which we attract locally, nationally and internationally.

Student Loans

Student Loans are available from our preferred private lender. These are not Federal Student Aid loans. Qualified students will receive loans at favorable interest rates with repayment plans designed to encourage completion of studies.

Preparation for Practice

At AMCH, we provide a collaborative, inspiring learning environment that provides a solid foundation for successful practice. Doctoral and Certificate programs fully prepare students for professional practice and licensure (where applicable); the success rate of graduates pursuing national homeopathic certification is very high. Practice Management and Marketing are part of our curriculum.

Clinical Training

Quality clinical training is a central aspect of our programs. We place strong value on individualized learning, humanism, self-awareness and community service as integral parts in the education of a healer. All programs offer small group mentorship.

Doctor of Homeopathy Program

Our 4,280 clock-hour, four-year, Full-Time homeopathic doctoral program is licensed through the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education. Admission requires a bachelor's degree with prerequisites of biology, chemistry, physics and psychology. Advanced standing is offered for those with prior homeopathic or medical training (at the master's or doctoral level).

Dual degree programs are offered in acupuncture and homeopathic research. This program is offered on campus as well as Live Classroom by Internet. Two one-week intensive residencies are required each year. Graduates are eligible for examination by the Arizona State Board of Examiners for Homeopathic and Integrated Medicine to become licensed Doctors of Homeopathy.

Homeopathic Practitioner Certificate Program

Our 1,104 clock-hour, 3-year, Part-Time homeopathic practitioner program is state licensed and accredited through the Accreditation Commission on Homeopathic Education in North America. A dual program is also offered in acupuncture through the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. Admission requires an associate's degree. Students are required to take anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology either before or concurrently with the program. This program is offered on campus as well as Live Classroom by Internet.
