Hialeah Campus

The Hialeah campus of Florida Career College offers large, comfortable classrooms, computer labs with PC and Mac computers, Medical Labs, bookstore and a resource center. The resource center provides students and faculty with reference materials, including books, videos and periodicals to supplement textbooks and lectures. Also, each campus houses school offices for student services, financial services, and career center. A new Cosmetology training center complete with program specific classrooms and The Spa at the College, a high-end open-to-the-public salon in which students will perfect their skills while working on real clients, is expected to open in March, 2010. (The Spa will open in Fall, 2010.

The Hialeah campus is located at 3750 West 18th Avenue, Hialeah, Florida, 33012. The 28,000-square-foot facility is conveniently located off the Palmetto Expressway and I-75.

Massage Therapist - Diploma

This program prepares students for a career in a fast growing segment of natural health care, massage therapy. Students will study and learn the various different elements of the human body, such as anatomy and physiology, pathology, joint movement and much more. They are also taught other valuable skills that will help in their chosen careers, such as human relations skills, health and safety practices and CPR. A wide variety of career opportunities are available upon completion of this program, with graduates going on to work in such facilities as spas, physicians' offices, chiropractic centers and health clubs.

Massage Therapist
Diploma Program
11 Months/43 Credits

The mission of the Massage Therapist program is to provide students with in depth knowledge and understanding of theory and extensive practice in a wide range of massage disciplines and modalities. Students will establish confidence in their abilities to properly assess clients' needs and perform effective therapeutic massage.

Program Objectives:

• Prepare students for national and state certification
• Teach anatomy and physiology
• Train students in multiple modalities -- Western, Oriental and holistic
