Welcome to the Massage Therapy Training Program at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC)! We offer high-quality, affordable training in therapeutic massage techniques and education about the human body, while supporting students personal growth as they prepare for a role in the health care community. The Massage Therapy Training Program is located at 3 Penn Center, HACC's uptown-Harrisburg location. We have a highly trained and enthusiastic staff. All of our instructors are professional massage therapists and each individual brings unique talents to teaching the modality in which he or she specializes.

Our 675-hour course of study is designed to give students exposure to a broad variety of massage modalities. We strive to teach students the balance between technique, compassion and self-care.

• Swedish Massage
• Reflexology
• Connective Tissue Therapy
• Sports Massage
• Neuromuscular Therapy

Allied Modalities:

• Business Practices
• Professional Ethics/Communication/Awareness
• Spa Treatments, Stone Massage and Aromatherapy
• Chair Massage
• Integration and case study presentation
• CPR

Student Clinic:

Each student is required to complete 50 hours of supervised massage in the student clinic, outside classroom hours. The student clinic begins following the completion of Swedish Massage training and continues until the end of the program.

Full Time Day Classes*

Begin in March and September
Meet Monday through Friday 9am-3pm

Part Time Evening/Weekend Classes*

Begin in September
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
from 5:30pm-9:30pm
Five Saturdays - 9:00am-5:00pm

*Student clinic hours are in addition to classroom times.
