Professional Massage Therapy Training Program

The Professional Massage Therapy Training Program at Hawaii Healing Arts College is designed to prepare students for work as Massage Therapists in any therapeutic capacity. Graduates will enter the job market as highly attractive candidates for hire or possess the business and professional skills necessary to work for themselves.

As the industry gathers momentum, fueled in part by the rising number of hospital-based massage therapy programs and spas around the world offering massage, a great need has developed for well-trained, diversified Massage Therapists. Our graduates are confident, able to interact with medical professionals, and can contribute to the overall care of the individual. Those who graduate from our program are qualified to sit for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork examination.

Hawaii Healing Arts College & Massage Professionals

In keeping with the current trends of the field, we are incorporating a competency-based training approach, which is built on actual career expectations and applications. We include performance activities as early in the program as possible, and require students to think and perform like actual massage professionals.

We are a member of the Council of Schools, and have designed a curriculum that is approved by the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and the American Massage Therapy Association.

Our Location

Our school is spacious, newly expanded, and beautifully furnished, with large air-conditioned classrooms, high ceilings open to natural light, nine treatment rooms, a teaching clinic, and store with a full line of massage therapy supplies and products. As well, the new Resolution Center houses the Post-Graduate Program and offers specialty treatments.

The entire facility spans the second floor of the modern Kailua Medical Arts Building. There is a student lounge with an extensive reference library and video teaching resources.

Parking is available surrounding the building, and we are one block from the main bus stop in the center of Kailua, "the beach town." Our clinic setting is very popular with the community, combining relaxing waterfalls with soothing music to create a peaceful ambience that keeps clients coming back
