About Us

LHAA has been successfully educating students in holistic healthcare since 1999. The academy offers intensive training programs in massage therapy and yoga. Our massage therapy program prepares the student to successfully pass the National Certification exam, become eligible for state licensure, and successfully pursue a career in massage therapy. Our yoga teacher training program prepares the students to successfully and confidently instruct yoga classes in a variety of settings. The school also offers a variety of workshops in massage and bodywork, yoga and other holistic studies for an individual's professional and personal development. A massage clinic and yoga studio is also located on the schools campus.

The school is licensed by the Kentucky State Board of Proprietary Education and is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).

LHAA Environment

School Community

The school is centrally located in Lexington, Kentucky. As an institution we value small classes, consistent policies, respect, appreciation and acceptance of each individual. On our campus we offer four spacious classrooms, a large and attractive student lounge, 10 massage treatment rooms, a yoga center, a nice landscaped lawn, a library and administrative offices. Classes range in size from 8 to 20 students. Our student body is very diverse with a wide range of ages and experiences. Our small class sizes help ensure that students receive adequate help and supervision and maximize the potential for personal growth.

After the initial class in October, classes will be held consecutively on the second weekend of each following month. There will be no classes in September, thus allowing time for students to complete their externship/internship. The last class of the program will take place in October of the following year from the start date. If classes do not reach a certain enrollment the school has the prerogative to cancel or change a class start date.
