Who we are

The Lionheart Institute was founded in 1999 by Bunny Blair Rush and Laura Fine, from San Antonio and Los Angeles respectfully, and who have been teaching and practicing healing in for many years. Since then Lionheart has continued to evolve and grow, not only in size, but also in the quality of teachers and curriculum. Based in San Antonio, we now have branches in Milwaukee and L.A. There are no gurus here. Hailing from all parts of the US, each of our instructors has practiced and taught healing, counseling and bodywork for at least 20 years and has specific areas of expertise, bringing his or her unique gift and spirit to the classroom.

What makes us different

At Lionheart Institute we approach the process of teaching and healing through the embodiment of the qualities of the courage and heart of the great lion. We cannot assist others in their exploration until we have faced and embraced our own gifts and limitations. It is only after we are capable of cultivating these and other spiritual qualities that we can responsibly practice the art of subtle healing.

In our program we teach healing from the inside out which is how healing happens. Many of our students enroll with an interest to focus on their own healing, and as a byproduct, they learn the art and skill of hands-on healing for others. The process is gentle, yet direct, and provides participants an opportunity to profoundly alter their quality of life. Through the subtle energy system, chakras and auric field we explore the mystery of our physical health issues, emotional struggles, relationships and belief systems.

Our natural state is as a child - humble, honest, compassionate, loving, forgiving, pure and innocent. At Lionheart, we provide a venue for our students to cultivate these qualities, encouraging them to confront subtle areas of negativity, judgment, resentment and limitations within themselves. The result of this self-exploration is a sense of freedom, expansiveness and an enhanced experience of love for self and others. The work is deeply grounded in the anatomical structure of the human physiology with special attention paid to practical application.

Our Basic Curriculum

Lionheart offers a 2-year program with certification. After an Introductory course, the basic curriculum required for certification of graduation includes:

4-Part Tools and Techniques series - 88 hours, in which students learn techniques progressively: As the healer heals, the student's ability to perceive subtle energy increases. Advanced techniques will include deeper work such as hara line healing and transmission of essence. These exciting courses are powerfully effective in facilitating physical wellness.

5-Part Developmental Life Stages series - 100 hours, a deep exploration of the "self", during which participants experience how the underlying nature of defensive wounding contains the rich gift of expression of our human existence.

3-Part Living Body and Soul series - 72 hours, which combines Anatomy and Physiology in a profound experiential mindbody study of functional integration, using meditation, movement, exercises and hands-on techniques to support our integration and awakening

3-Part Transpersonal Spiritual Counseling series - 80 hours, where student will learn responsible techniques for being with a client moving, through the release of deep emotional blocks and responding with appropriate, healthy, boundaries, facilitating deep healing.
