Medix School is a registered private career college specializing in the training of personnel for health care careers. Medix School was founded in 1969, and has been providing professional health care training in Ontario since 1993.

Massage Therapy Program

The objective of the Massage Therapy program is to equip participants with the necessary entry-level technical, business and professional skills for competency, confidence and to achieve success in the field of massage therapy.

Instilled within each student will be a sincere and practical commitment to care for all people and to serve others with dignity. Each student will learn to balance the nurturing character of massage therapy with, and understanding of, the need to produce an income.

Course Content Includes:

Students are evaluated in all areas of professional development, including applicable areas of:

• Human Sciences
• Massage Techniques
• Adjunct Body Work Modalities
• Professional Standards
• Clinical Practices

Upon successful completion of the Massage Therapy program students will be qualified to write the 3rd party exam given by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario to become a "Registered Massage Therapists".

Career Services

Employment counselling and job search training is provided for all students during their program by scheduled classroom lectures and ongoing individualized counselling. The School remains a permanent source of employment search assistance for all graduates. The placement department prepares each student to:

• Create cover letter, resume and other effective portfolio material.
• Conduct an employment interview including proper follow-up activities.
• Analyze employment opportunities and market trends.
• Utilize resources for locating prospective employers.
• Analyze employment benefits and career advancement opportunities.
• Medix maintains a list of current and past graduates indicating their initial place of employment, along with completion and placement percentages. A list of past and current employers is available to all prospective students.
