Therapeutic Massage

The Massage Therapy program provides the training for an entry-level career as a professional massage therapist. Students develop the knowledge necessary to develop massage protocol and perform extensive therapeutic massage with focus on whole body wellness.

Students receive a broad business and academic background on which to pursue entrepreneurial pursuits in the spa/healing arts and allied health fields. Graduates are prepared for employment in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, medical offices, health clubs and private practice and are eligible to sit for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Miller-Motte Technical College is a located in Lynchburg, Virginia. It has an on-site spa that is open to the public and provides the massage student with the necessary clinical experience to become a skilled massage therapist.
