Massage Therapy

Massage therapy opens a variety of rewarding, interesting career opportunities, ranging from:

Massage therapists work for others or build their own practices, setting their own schedules.

We have been the standard of excellence since 1992. Setting that standard includes 756 hours of supervised instruction--far exceeding the State of Louisiana minimum requirement. Why so many hours? It's simple. In addition to acquiring the vital skills necessary in becoming a competent massage therapist, you'll be adequately prepared for national certification and state licensing.

Massage therapy students develop hands-on skills in our state-of-the-art fully equipped massage and spa labs. Hands-on clinic time sharpens assessment skills while gaining practical, real-world experience in an instructor-supervised, safe environment. All of our massage therapy instructors are licensed practitioners.

Massage tables are provided for on-premises student use, and all clinics are conducted here on campus. Students learn a variety of massage modalities, such as:

• Swedish
• Sports
• Connective tissue
• Neuromuscular
• Shiatsu
• Reflexology
• Hydrotherapy
• Corporate (or chair)

A good variety--and nothing you won't need. Learn a number of ways to help others by relieving pain, increasing mobility and flexibility, and improving a sense of overall well-being through massage therapy.

Medical Training College offers exclusive spa therapies in a unique spa-environment lab, including:

• Body wraps
• Salt glow
• Paraffin and mud pack treatments
• Hot and cold stone massage
• Wet table use
• Extended Hydrotherapy instruction

The program is balanced with a strong emphasis on the study of human structure and function (anatomy and physiology). Students obtain a thorough understanding of massage application for a variety of health related issues. These classes provide a well-rounded health care background.

Placement Services

Graduates are eligible to seek placement through our placement office in the growing field of massage therapy.

We're training tomorrow's professionals today.

Our placement office works with students in developing resumes, interview skills and then assists in locating interview sites. The placement process begins when you start school. Lifetime placement services are available to all graduates.
