Massage Therapy Training Institute (MTTI) was founded in 1988, based on a strong belief in the healing power of touch. Over the past 19 years, MTTI-WellSpring has trained hundreds of successful therapists, and helped launch their career in doctors' offices, hospitals, wellness centers, fitness centers, spas, resorts, corporate offices and private practice.

Class schedules to fit your life
Complete your education in less than 12 months by attending daytime classes two days per week. Or, for our students with jobs or other weekday obligations, attend classes two evenings per week and every other Saturday, plus nine Sundays. Our Evening/Weekend program allows you to complete your training in just over 13 months.

Nationally Accredited
Accreditation by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), and recognition by the U.S. Department of Education assures you of excellent training. Only a number of massage programs in the U.S. are so accredited.

Financial Assistance
Our financial advisors will present a variety of financial tools and grants that are available to students who qualify, including Federal Student Aid via the federal government's Title IV Program.

Wellness and Healing Arts Focus
MTTI-WellSpring's total focus is on educating students in the natural healing arts, which has been unchanged for the past 19 years. Every massage student gets solid basics in general wellness, nutrition and stress management as a complement to their massage practice. We teach more than massage technique… we create healing arts professionals.

Continuous Career Support
MTTI-WellSpring's career placement team helps students discover the career niche that is just right for them, and then we help them connect with preferred employers in the area. MTTI-WellSpring doesn't guarantee placement, but we are proud of our high job placement rate. We also work with practicing graduates to provide referrals, job leads and extensive opportunities for continuing education.

Massage Therapy Program

(750-Clock Hour/33 Credit Massage Therapy Program)

MTTI-WellSpring's Massage Therapy Program is designed to provide a solid and comprehensive foundation in bodywork theory, technique and business practices. Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the National Certification Exam and for licensing in Missouri and most other states and municipalities.

The most unique feature of the MTTI-WellSpring 750-hour program is the incorporation of a basic wellness curriculum. Practitioners increasingly find that clients are craving direct and honest guidance about how to maintain a natural wellness lifestyle. Our program prepares practitioners to provide this guidance with the inclusion of classes on stress management, nutrition and general wellness concepts.

By enrolling in our accelerated daytime program, which meets two days a week (no evenings or weekends) students can complete the program in less than 12 months. Our Evening/Weekend program, which meets two evenings a week and about every other weekend, allows a student to complete the program in just over 13 months.

Some courses included in the Massage Therapy Program are Basic Swedish Massage, Anatomy & Physiology, Specialty Massage, Advanced Massage Techniques, Assessment & Documentation Skills, Eastern Bodywork Techniques, Communication Skills, Kinetic Anatomy, Sports Massage, Wellness & Nutrition, Stress Management, Pathology, Business Practices, Clinical Internship and a wide range of other complementary therapies.

Continuing Education Programs

The continuing education and career studies option at MTTI-WellSpring allows students to openly enroll in just those classes that they need. We started the continuing education program for students already enrolled at MTTI-WellSpring, and for people who don't have the time or resources for a full course load.
