Students who come to the Naga Center come seeking an education in Thai Massage that will take them deeply into the culture, theory, history, spirituality and philosophy of Thai massage. Our students come for the authenticity, the devotion to tradition, and the spirit of integrity. They leave having learned more than they ever thought possible in the short time of the class taken.

The Naga Center offers you a place to study Thai massage that is singularly devoted to Thai healing, culture and spirituality. This is a place to learn deeply. It is a place of personal transformation and intensive study unlike any other Thai massage school. At the Naga Center you will learn not just the techniques of Thai massage but also the traditional medical theory behind them, and the traditional spiritual connection that transforms those techniques from going through the motions into an act of deep healing. All classes are steeped in cultural customs and students participate daily in traditional Thai ceremonies as performed by healers and healing classes throughout Thailand. Focus on body mechanics teaches students to work deeply while not only saving their hands and wrists, but actually physically benefiting from the work, much in the way one benefits from a practice such as yoga, or tai chi. Class sizes are kept small for optimal education.

Offering

Thai Massage Level I Certification Course - In this 40-hour class students are introduced to Thai massage as they learn how to give a complete 90-minute session. Class is composed of demonstrations and practice, as well as lectures on the history, culture, and theory of Thai massage.

Thai Massage Level II Certification Course – In this class we will focus on body mechanics and postural alignment while learning advanced Thai stretches and alternate client positions as well as deep compression and barefoot Thai massage. There is a strong focus on working deeper while saving your wrists and alternatives to "the sequence." Explore foundations of traditional Thai medicine and sen theory while developing your ability to 'sense' sen line blockages.

Thai Pre-natal, Postpartum and Infant Massage Certification Course – This two day class is rich with cultural traditions, ancient insights, folklore, and truly lovely nurturing techniques that will bring a unique wisdom and healing into your practice. This is a wonderful class for massage therapists, doulas and midwives.

Thai Herbal Massage Certification Course – Students will learn to use traditional hot herbal compresses in a Thai massage session as well as the foundations of Thai herbalism and how to prepare the compresses.

Thai Cupping Workshop – Cupping is a part of traditional medicine practices the world over and can be a wonderful and unique healing tool. In this class we will learn this technique as it is done in Thailand and learn to incorporate it into a Thai massage session.

Thai Massage Specialties Combination Certification Course – This 40-hour, five day intensive combines the Thai Pre-natal/Postpartum/Infant Massage course, the Thai herbal massage course, and the Thai Cupping workshop.

Thai Massage Teacher Apprenticeship Program – Simply the most in-depth teacher training program available.

Gently Guided Advanced Student Trips to Thailand – Travel to the source of this incredible healing modality and study with masters, visit temples, mountains and cities, see vibrant marketplaces, learn Thai Medicinal cooking and more.

Free Internship Program – Return to any class already taken as an intern. Internships are free, and provide you with the chance to learn on a deeper level while building our community.

Thai Language Classes, Thai Buddhism classes, Cultural Series, Movie Nights and More – Thai language for all levels, Thai Buddism classes, Thai cooking classes the list goes on. These classes are taught by a native of Thailand, with many years experience teaching in international schools. Thai movies shown monthly for donation to be given to charities in Thailand. Fun!
