Philosophy of NAMTI

NAMTI (Northern Arizona Massage Therapy Institute) offers an unprecedented experience with regards to practicing and teaching the therapeutic massage and bodywork arts of Eastern and Western origins, and related energetic studies such as the internal martial arts of Tai Chi, Qi, Gong, yoga, and more, to dedicated students. We at NAMTI have put our minds and hearts together to create a learning experience that we are confident will become invaluable to our patrons. We believe that everyone possesses the natural ability to facilitate the therapeutic process of health and recovery. We provide the instruction and support for all students to develop their skills to an extremely effective level as a therapist, with a solid foundation for continual growth and success in the growing field of therapeutic arts.

At NAMTI, Eastern traditions are taught with a focus on the application as well as philosophy of the modalities, giving our graduates a complete understanding of the mind-body-spirit connection. When combined with our strong foundation in Western biosciences, this understanding supports our students as they become massage and body work professionals.

Our program nurtures the development of internal awareness within each student. Study of Tai Chi and Qi Gong are integral to the programs and bodywork modalities we practice. With continued practice, these studies allow each student to harvest the embodiment of their utmost potential in the healing arts, and begin to share the benefits of their focused and compassionate treatments for years to come.
