Natural Health Institute

Mission Statement

The Natural Health Institute is established to promote quality education and services in natural health therapies for students of NHI, and for our community health care professionals and their clients. We support the appropriate bridging between the uses of both natural health methods and modern medicine to promote wellness.

The cornerstone of Natural Health Institute is the Tennessee State-approved Education Program of Professional Massage and Bodywork Therapy. This course of study qualifies the graduate for National Certification and Tennessee licensure to practice professionally.

We offer continuing education classes for health care professionals--massage therapists and bodyworkers, nurses, nurse practitioners, and midwives as well as services and classes for the personal enrichment of the lay public.

Toward the goal of quality education, our small classes are led by licensed professinals with long clinical practice experience. Whenever possible they are massage therapists certified to teach in their area of specialty.

Massage Therapy Program

Natural Health Institute offers a 600-hour program of Professional Massage and Bodywork Therapy. Upon completion, graduates are eligible for licensure and National Certification.

The NHI Nashville Campus is located in historic Cummins Station on the corner of Demonbreun and 10th Avenue South in downtown Nashville, just in town from the Demonbreun exit from I-40. We are a school of six thousand square feet. Our three classrooms serve the needs of our personal class instruction. They are equipped with massage tables, white boards, charts and needed supplies. While teacher-student interaction is the rule, we do have a TV and a VCR for educational uses. NHI also has a six room intern clinic, a reception area, a retail area, and a staff of professional providers.

The NHI Bowling Green Campus is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The facility is fully-equipped with professional massage tables, charts and learning equipment. There are three clinic internship rooms.
