Advanced Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (ATMB) - Associate's

For the majority of Americans, life is busy, hectic and stressful. Many Americans now turn to new venues (massage therapy and bodywork) to find relaxation, to rejuvenation, or to heal injury. Customers are looking for knowledgeable and qualified practitioners to help them forget about the worries of life, help ease pain they may be experiencing, or help them achieve new heights of athletic performance.

As an advanced massage therapist, you'll have the expertise and practical experience employer's desire. You'll have the opportunity to work in a wide variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, spas, exotic resorts, on cruise ships, in amateur and professional sports or even for your self. Study of specialized massage modalities creates graduates who are fluent in the following areas:

• Neuromuscular Therapy
• Cross Fiber
• Deep Tissue
• Deep Transverse Friction
• Sports Massage

In addition to a clinical focus, there is further training in spa-related techniques like stone massage, aromatherapy, paraffin applications and body wraps.

Health & Fitness Professional - Associate's

The Health and Fitness Professional Associate of Occupational Therapy (AOS) degree is designed to prepare students for entry-level placement in positions that relate to sports medicine, rehabilitation, wellness and fitness. Americans are becoming more conscious of the importance of a steady regimen of exercise to improve health, attitude and overall quality of life. As a result, there is currently a demand for more trainers or exercise physiologists.
