Doctor of Chiropractic

Northwestern's doctor of chiropractic program consists of 10 trimesters and more than 4,200 contact hours taught by world-renowned faculty members in an 11-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio for individualized attention.

Ours key strengths include:

• Our basic sciences, clinical, chiropractic and business education is unmatched in preparing students to pass the National Boards and for clinical practice.
• Northwestern has a limited enrollment, allowing for a more personal and close-knit atmosphere among its international student body and easy access to our extraordinary faculty of PhD's, DC's and MD's.
• Northwestern's methods lab classes include hands-on training in manipulation every trimester.
• Puts learning into practice through a practicum experience that includes five full trimesters in a clinical setting.
• Northwestern has pioneered an extraordinary clinic system, with a University public clinic system, more than 150 internship sites in private practice clinics, a range of clinical partnerships with social service agencies, and final term preceptorship opportunities around the world.
• Northwestern's practice management courses begin in the first trimester and provide students with the business skills necessary to succeed in clinical practice.
• You can complete your undergraduate requirements and your Bachelor of Science Degree at Northwestern.
• More than 90 percent of Northwestern graduates go on to pass all four parts of the National Board Examinations on their first attempts.
• We have an international reputation in scientific research.
• For those who qualify, financial aid is available through federal, state, institutional and private programs.
