Our vision for the future of chiropractic is firmly based upon the principles and examples entrusted to us by our founder, Dr. Jim Parker. Students learn from his example that to be a doctor of chiropractic is not enough. Healing was his goal, treating the whole patient, not just the symptoms.

Programs of Study

The course of study is a four-year academic program condensed into nine trimesters in three calendar years. The program offers coursework leading to the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree that covers the basic and clinical sciences as well as jurisprudence, office procedure, and business management. Preparing students to meet the challenges of private practice is a major benefit of attending Parker. A concurrent B.S. degree in Anatomy is also offered.

Clinical Internship

Parker offers the most extensive clinical experience in the chiropractic educational world beginning in Trimester 1. Tri 6 students practice the art of chiropractic on fellow students, family and friends in the student clinic, under faculty supervision. In Tri 7, 8 and 9, students treat patients from the public at our Irving and Dallas Health Centers.

Financial Aid

Eligible students have access to the standard federal, state, and private loan, grant, and scholarship programs, which enable recipients to receive up to $31,000 every two trimesters for tuition and living expenses. There are also other programs readily available to assist with tuition, fees and living expenses.

Living and Housing Costs

Room and board, transportation, and personal expenses are estimated at approximately $8,100 each trimester, or approximately $2,000 per month. Dallas housing is quite affordable.

Student Life

Parker students are exceptionally active in student government, intramural sports, clubs and associations. Students from over 100 states and foreign countries have attended Parker, and all have found their diverse backgrounds and culture accepted and shared through the student body.

Accreditation

Parker College is a coeducational institution chartered by the State of Texas. It holds nonprofit 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service.

The Doctor of Chiropractic degree program of Parker College of Chiropractic is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE).
