The Poway Academy was recognized as the 2008 Best School in the Nation from the publishers of First Chair, the foremost industry publication. The academy offers students the premier education in a luxury, 5–star, learning environment recently renovated to add private treatment rooms, a Hydrotherapy Tub and a Vichy Shower room. This allows our students to learn in a 5–star quality setting.

The Massage courses encompass all of the practical and theoretical training needed to become proficient and certified as a massage therapist. Students are taught body anatomy, theory of the muscles and nerves, and how pressure and touch affect the body.

We utilize and provide students with the highest quality products and train then on the most effective techniques. The student kit includes a massage table and chair for an immediate start in the Massage and Holistic Health career.

Our Holistic Health Practitioner program is the most comprehensive massage and wellness course available, and includes a "100-hour Spa training module." Learn basic and advanced massage techniques while practicing Tai Chi; this teaches you the proper hand and body mechanics, saving you from injuries during your career in massage.

The Holistic Health Practitioner program course will provide you with knowledge and expertise of Therapeutic Massage and bodywork practices. Kinesiology will be the basis for the anatomy studied throughout the course.

Client Clinic and Spa Experience

Students receive real life experiences in our vibrant, 5-star client clinic. Students are provided hands-on experience with the supervision of our highly skilled team of instructors who assist with spa behaviors and practices.

Career Opportunties in Massage

Career opportunities for the licensed massage therapist include private practice, health clubs, day and resort spas, relaxation centers and can work in association with other health practitioners such as chiropractors, medical doctors, dentists, physical therapists and other related practices.
