Educational Philosophy

We believe therapists who are well educated in the clinical and scientific aspects of bodywork make better therapists. Therefore, we provide challenging and comprehensive courses in anatomy, physiology, pathology, structural kinesiology, postural analysis, Swedish massage techniques and massage theory.

Because we also believe that individuals who are aware and accepting of their inner worlds are more responsible healers, we strive to provide students the opportunity to explore their inner lives in a supportive environment.

By placing emphasis on quality of touch, palpation skills and multi-dimensional causes of pathology, we ground academic knowledge in a physical realm. Having "good hands" is a skill that can be taught and we emphasize this in all modalities.
