Teleosis School of HomeopathyHomeopathy is the perfect health care system for home use--gentle enough for babies, powerful enough to stop teething pain or menstrual cramps almost instantaneously, safe enough that a child could swallow a whole tube of the medicated pellets without any side effects. The Teleosis Elements of Homeopathy program, meeting one day per month from September to June, empowers participants to treat many common conditions safely at home. These range from cuts and burns, colds and flu, sports injuries and sudden back pain to diarrhea and vomiting, headaches, menstrual cramps, and many common childhood problems like colic and teething. Anything that can safely be treated with an over-the-counter medication can be safely treated at home with a homeopathic remedy. The Elements program appeals to a wide range of students. In addition to parents learning how to treat their family members, other students have special interests. Some treat animals--their own pets or in a veterinary clinic. Bodyworkers learn to treat acute muscle pain. Physicians, pharmacists and dentists learn how to substitute safe homeopathic remedies for over-the-counter drugs, while nurses and other health care practitioners learn how to respond to patients' questions about complementary medicine. Other students successfully incorporating homeopathy into their existing professions include psychotherapists, counselors, substance abuse specialists, chiropractors and acupuncturists. For anyone who plans to practice homeopathy professionally, The Elements program is a gateway to our 4-year professional training program (meeting one weekend a month). The credit hours and tuition from The Elements program can be applied to The Professional program. A medical background or license is not necessary for The Elements program. Our students gain a deep understanding of health and healing, and of homeopathy's classic principles. Students take part in active discussions, as they explore many facets of the process of healing and becoming a healer. Classes meet one Saturday or Sunday per month at a university in the Boston area with both T access and parking. Tuition of about $2000 per year can easily be recouped with a lifetime of savings on copays and prescription drug costs.
