The purpose of the Twin Falls Institute of Holistic Studies is to provide training, education and service to the residents of Magic Valley and Southern Idaho. Training will be provided for massage technicians and massage therapists. In addition, classes will be provided in nutrition, kinesiology, therapeutic exercises and stress reduction. Lectures for the general public to increase the awareness of holistic health practices will be offered. Guest teachers and lectures will be included as available. Our purpose in providing education regarding holistic health is to bring awareness of old, new and advanced concepts to enhance a healthier and happier lifestyle. We believe that with increased awareness and knowledge, we as human beings can take responsibility for ourselves and our health.

We believe that the holistic approach to health care is the optimum preventative and therapeutic health care of the present and future. Massage therapy is an integral part of holistic care. Massage serves as an adjunct to any and all healing arts; it useful in stress reduction and detoxification programs; aids in recovery from exercise and injury; and serves as an adjunct to emotional healing therapies. We believe that fulfilling the basic human need for touch is an essential part of enjoying a healthy lifestyle.

Message from the Director

There are people in this world who have a desire to work with other people in a way to bring them comfort and facilitate the healing of their minds and bodies. They respect the magnificence of the human mind and body and are willing to learn about it's holiness of design.

We have the philosophy that an individual's intent to facilitate healing for another must come first from the heart, then from the mind and through the hands. It is our desire that a student who goes through our program will have a heart full of pure intent and will develop their abilities to facilitate healing through the powerful power of touch.

Massage Therapy

The therapist training is formulated to meet the 500 hour requirements set forth by the National Certificate Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworks. The National Board requires 125 hours of Anatomy and Physiology, 40 hours of Pathology, *300 hours of Theory and Application classes. The remainder of the hours meeting the 500 hour minimum will be done through massage elective classes. 800+ hours of training are available through our Institute.
