Bachelor of Science - 15 quarters
The health and exercise science programs at Utah Career College are designed to prepare graduates for employment opportunities in a broadly defined industry that encompasses recreation, rehabilitation, movement development, athletics, exercise and fitness, as well as sales and marketing of industry related products and services. As a physical fitness specialist, graduates will be trained to administer diagnostic fitness assessments. They will learn the necessary skills to design, implement, and supervise wellness and exercise programs at health clubs, government agencies, corporations, health care facilities and at many other sites. They will possess the requisite skills to work with the general population, plus will also be qualified to work with people who possess special exercise/wellness needs. Health and exercise science graduates may be employed (but are not limited to) the following organizational settings:
Massage Therapy
Associate of Applied Science - 8 quarters
The massage therapy program offers classes taught by industry professionals who are dedicated to ensuring your classroom experience exceeds your expectations. You will get the personal attention you desire with small class sizes and individual attention. Massage therapy is one of the fastest growing areas of today's health and wellness fields. Graduates will qualify to join the American Massage Therapy Association (ATMA) and are qualified to sit for the National Board Certification Test for Massage and Body Work.
