The College of Purna Yoga offers Yoga Teacher Certification developed and perfected by world-renowned yoga masters Aadil Palkhivala and Mirra. For students at all levels, our programs provide personal and professional training for serious yoga and meditation students looking to deepen their practice, to health practitioners who want to expand their professional services, and to those who are ready to begin the journey of being a yoga teacher.

You decide the level and pace that is right for you. All of our courses are licensed by the State of Washington and are approved by Yoga Alliance. Your certification upon completion will be recognized internationally. Discover the difference between yoga from the mind, and the Purna Yoga approach to practicing and teaching yoga from the heart.

Purna Yoga is the "whole and complete" yoga that expands the body and mind, teaches reverence and encourages peace and goodwill that naturally extends into the world around us. With Purna Yoga, students not only practice asana and meditation, but they are invited to live a healthful life and pursue a state of oneness with their body, mind and spirit. Purna Yoga students focus on the connection between their mind and body and develop their ability to listen to and know their own heart through deep meditation and relaxation techniques. They are taught to use their body as a means to enhance their self-knowledge and discover their own source of inner wisdom.

The 200-hour Teacher Certification is offered in two formats: a weekend format that consist of 9 weekends over 11 weeks, and a month-intensive format, meeting 5 ½ days a week for a month. You will learn asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, nutrition, business, anatomy, basic therapeutics, sequencing, teaching methodology, presentation and speaking skills, adjustments and prop use, and much more—all documented for you in a 298-page manual written by Aadil Palkhivala.

The 500-hour Level Teacher Certification continues where the 200-hour program leaves off, and is for those teachers who have already completed this foundational level. Consisting of 300 hours of training, delivered in three two-week intensives over 9 months, this program takes your teaching to the professional level where mastery is the goal. Teachers at the 500-hour Level learn that yoga is so much more than asana—it is meant to be lived. This program includes a 510-page manual written by Aadil Palkhivala. The manual includes:
