Breema Practitioner

What is breema?

Breema takes its name from the Kurdish mountain village of Breemava where it originated and was passed down from generation to generation.

Breema is a comprehensive system of bodywork, done on the floor, with a variety of techniques ranging from simple holding points on the body to techniques requiring flexibility and dexterity.

How is breema practiced?
Breema practitioners release deep muscular tension and realign the body without force, using a repertoire of hands-on treatment and flowing movement sequences. The practitioner moves the client gently by stretching, twisting or leaning on body parts to increase flexibility and create a deep sense of relaxation.

What breema degrees or certificates are available?
Breema bodywork training is a 165-hour certificate program. The therapy training emphasizes the benefit of a nonjudgmental, harmonious atmosphere, envisioning the client as whole and healthy. A Breema practitioner certificate is achieved through classroom and workshop instruction, and intensive programs.
