How Reflexology Works

Reflexology is based on the same theories of traditional Chinese medicine as acupressure—that specific points on the feet and hands are regarded as corresponding to organs and tissues in the body. The human body is "mapped" to these coordinating points in the hands and feet, and stimulating these points has a beneficial effect on the area of the body connected to the specific reflex.
